In the Cockspur Cup, Ockbrook & Borrowash went out to Chester-le-Street, but Sandiacre beat Kendal and will travel to Chester-le-Street in the quarter-finals to see if they can succeed where Ockbrook failed.

In the Village Knockout, Shipley Hall beat Quatt in the second national stage and will travel to Woodhouses of the Lancashire County League in the quarter-finals.

Details of the structure for 2009 and where the end of season placings for 2008 will be likely to be placed are now online in News. New teams from existing clubs have until August 31st to apply for 2009.

The County League announced its new sponsors at the Annual General Meeting; Marston's will sponsor the League and the senior Cup competition, now to be known as the Marston's Smooth Trophy.

Including the Cup site, we have now passed 1,000,000 page impressions since we started in March 2002, the first play-cricket site to reach this landmark, and June 2008 has set yet another record of 59780 hits, breaking May's mark of 57325! We broke the quarter-million mark in 2007, and topped the million mark overall before the start of the 2008 season. Don't forget, if it's here, then it's official!

All League forms for 2008, and updated League rules, are now in Community>Library. If you run out of a form, just download a spare!
